Don't worry. We haven't fallen off the face of the planet. August is always a busy month. Busiest time of the year at my work. Working full time and taking care of a baby is hard work. Hubby has been busy. His commute is 1.5 hour twice a day. By the time he gets home there is only about an hour before Isaac is put down for the night. Let me share what a typical day is like for Isaac and me:

5:30- Alarm goes off

5:40- I get out of bed and take a shower and get ready for the day

6:00- Get lunches and Isaac's bottles out of the fridge. Take everything I need and load it in the car. If theres time eat breakfast.

6:15-6:45- Get Isaac up and ready. Sometimes I have to wake him and sometimes he's starting to stir. If he's still sleeping I will usually pump (he's a one side eater so I pump whatever side he won't be nursing from) then I will feed him.

6:45-6:50- Get Isaac dressed (if I haven't already) and if I haven't eaten then try to eat quick.

6:55-7:00- Get Isaac in the car and get to daycare.

7:10 - 7:15 - arrive at daycare and drop Isaac off

7:30 - 4:30 - I work and Isaac is at daycare

4:30-4:35 - Get Isaac from daycare

4:50-5:00 - We arrive home. I get Isaac out of his car seat and put him on his activity mat. Meanwhile, I get Isaac's bottles ready. Dan and my lunches ready.

5:15-6 - I play with Isaac.

6 - 6:30 - Isaac eats his vegetable. He then nurses afterwards. Back on the floor mat or his jumperoo while I make dinner.

7 - 7:30 - Dan arrives home. Sometimes he gets home before 7. We eat dinner. Sometimes taking turns. Sometimes we start a bath for Isaac. He gets a bath every other day.

7:30-8 - I try to nurse Isaac one more time. Sometimes he eats... sometimes he doesn't.

8:00-8:05 - Isaac is down for the night.

8:00-9:00 - Relax, stuff diapers for daycare, laundry....  etc etc etc

9:00-9:30 - Go to sleep

It can vary slightly but for the most part this is our routine. Isaac is quite the little sleeper. He sleeps from 8-6. Sometimes till 6:30. Occasionally he wakes up in the middle of the night but just needs a little soothing. We give him his pacifier and he's fast asleep again.

I made a few changes this week though. Instead of getting things ready for the following day when I got home from I put on some running clothes and took Isaac out for a run WITH THE JOGGING STROLLER! We ran 2 miles on Tuesday. He did a great job! No fussing! Today I wanted to run 5 miles. I planned to do a few in the stroller and a few on the treadmill. Once we started running Isaac decided to take a nap. I decided that I was going to try to take him for the full 5 miles. He woke up when we had about a mile to go. He did a great job. No fussing!

How is running with the stroller? HARD. My pace is A LOT slower. It can be challenging to maneuver at times plus because we've only done two runs I am worried about bumps. So I find myself going to walk at really bumpy spots. Today I was so tired I ended up walking a lot more than I wanted. But in my defense, it was windy and I have only ran 5 miles one other time since Isaac was born. So I suppose 5 miles in 63 miles with a heavy stroller and a 13-14 pound baby is pretty good.

Anyway, I am sorry if there are typos and mistakes in this post. I am exhausted and don't want to proof read.  I'll end with some photos.

Our first run together
Sweet Potatoes. He tried them last week. He loves them. I also love his eye. They are gorgeous!

A Mother's biggest fear is that she will miss a milestone. Look what Isaac did while I was working OT last Saturday. Daddy got a photo. Thank goodness!
This is one of my new favorites. I looooove his eyes!
